Worldwide fight against leprosy and tuberculosis

For 50 years, Deutsche Lepra- und Tuberkulosehilfe (DAHW) has been actively helping people suffering from leprosy and tuberculosis in Third World countries. These activities, which the DAHW organizes together with local partners, focus on helping individual people, irrespective of their religion, nationality, or skin color.

The DAHW's goal is to heal people physically through medical treatment and emotionally by providing social rehabilitation through vocational training or small bank loan programs.

Working together with the German organization DAHW in Würzburg, we have over the past 25 years extended our aid to the German doctor and member of a religious congregation, Ruth Pfau in her "campaign against leprosy in Pakistan". The center of her operations is a hospital in Karachi, the "Marie Adelaide Leprosy Center".

A total of EUR 7.5 Mio. has been donated for this project.
