Georg Ludwig Rexroth, the founder, made timely arrangements to ensure the succession within his Foundation. He transferred the majority of shares to his sons Gerd (passed by 12/12/2003) and Bernd and appointed them, together with Hartmut Weißpfennig, as board members. All three have worked for over 10 years to accomplish the goals that Georg Ludwig Rexroth had set.

In doing so, they are assisted by an advisory committee consisting of three independent persons: Prof. Dr. Klaus Fleischer, former head of Missionsärztliches Krankenhaus, Würzburg, Dr. Ulrick Knips, former CEO of Rütgers Chemicals AG, and Ottmar Kliegl, Hospitals officer of the Main-Spessart region until 2011.
