Advisory BoardThe Leadership of the Rexroth Foundation
The founder, Georg Ludwig Rexroth, arranged the succession of his foundation in good time. He transferred the majority of the company shares to his sons Gerd (died 12 December 2003) and Bernd (died 25 November 2014), and appointed them, together with Hartmut Weißpfennig, as managing directors. From 1987 onward, the three worked together in the founder's spirit to realise the objectives Georg Ludwig Rexroth had set. On 1 July 2014 the partners appointed Martin Rexroth (tax clerk) and Kathrin Rooney (chartered tax advisor) as further managing directors, securing the long-term work of the Rexroth Foundation. Following the death of Bernd Rexroth, they ran the foundation jointly with Hartmut Weißpfennig. Martin Rexroth stepped down from the management at his own request on 31 December 2024.
The managing directors are supported by a three-member advisory board comprising Prof. Dr. Klaus Fleischer, former director of the Mission Medical Hospital in Würzburg; Dr. Ulrich Knips, former Chairman of the Board of Rütgers Chemicals AG; and Ottmar Kliegl, for many years hospital administrator for the Main-Spessart district.
