For the sick and those in need, the world over.
Combating Leprosy and Tuberculosis
For fifty years the German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association (DAHW) has worked in the developing world on behalf of people suffering from leprosy and tuberculosis. In this work, carried out together with partners on the ground, the individual person stands at the centre — irrespective of religion, nationality or race.

Dr. Ruth Pfau
(† 10 August 2017)
The aim of the DAHW's work is the holistic, lasting recovery of the individual through medical treatment and social rehabilitation, including vocational training and microcredit programmes.
Together with the DAHW we have, over the past 25 years, supported the German physician and religious sister Dr. Ruth Pfau in her "campaign to combat leprosy in Pakistan". Her base of operations is a hospital in Karachi, the "Marie Adelaide Leprosy Center".
Total funding to date amounted to EUR 7.5 million.
